Author Fees: "The Journal of Law, Society, and Religion"

"The Journal of Law, Society, and Religion" is committed to making high-quality scholarly research widely accessible without financial barriers to authors. In alignment with our Hybrid Open Access model, the journal generally does not impose fees on authors. However, certain options do involve a charge.

Standard Publication (No Fee)

  • There are no submission fees or Article Processing Charges (APCs) for manuscripts published under the standard access option, which may include an embargo period before becoming fully open access.
  • The costs associated with the editorial process, peer review management, production, online hosting, and long-term archiving of these articles are covered by [mention source of funding, e.g., the journal's sponsoring institution(s), grants, or organizational support]. This model ensures that authors from all backgrounds and regions can publish their work without financial constraints.

Instant Open Access Option (Optional Fee)

  • For authors who wish for their article to be immediately available as Open Access with no embargo period, the journal offers an optional Instant Open Access option.
  • For manuscripts accepted for publication under this option, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of Rp 1,500,000 (approximately USD 90.91) will be levied to cover the costs associated with providing immediate open access.
    • Conversion Calculation: (Rp 1,500,000 / Rp 16,500 per USD = USD 90.91)
  • The decision to opt for this instant open access option is entirely voluntary and does not influence the editorial decision-making or peer review process.
