https://ejournal2.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/rils/article/view/150

This study analyzes the development of political law and state institutions in Indonesia after the 1998 Reform from the perspective of Islamic constitutionalism. Using a juridical-normative and historical approach, the research finds that constitutional amendments significantly reshaped Indonesia’s governance through stronger democratic principles, the establishment of independent institutions, the implementation of checks and balances, and the expansion of regional autonomy. Key reforms included limiting executive power and strengthening legislative and judicial institutions, as well as creating bodies such as the Constitutional Court, Judicial Commission, and Corruption Eradication Commission. Despite these advances, challenges remain, including overlapping institutional authority, political interference, bureaucratic inefficiency, and inconsistencies in legal reform. From an Islamic constitutional perspective, political law should promote justice, public welfare, accountability, and deliberation, values that are consistent with a modern constitutional state based on the rule of law, power oversight, and the protection of citizens’ rights
Muhammad Zaenul ArifAisyah Diah NTiyas Indah WHaniyyah Isnaini

https://ejournal2.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/rils/article/view/151

This study aims to examine the concept of a free human being from an educational perspective, specifically based on the thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, and to formulate educational innovations that can create a free human being. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach, analyzing various literature on education, the philosophy of a free human being, and pedagogical innovation. The results of the study indicate that a free human being according to Ki Hadjar is a human being whose life is not dependent on others, relying on one's own strength, which is achieved through the integration of teaching (liberating the outer) and education (liberating the inner). Relevant innovations for building a free human being include joyful learning and character education. Joyful education emphasizes a learning atmosphere that is pleasant, dialogical, and based on the context of students' lives. Character education focuses on teacher role models, habituation, and internalization of moral values. The conclusion of this article confirms that Ki Hadjar Dewantara's concept of a free human being is still very relevant and can be integrated with contemporary learning innovations to produce an independent, visionary, and character-based generation
Muhamad Fatihul AfhamNadia Zakia Al ‘UlyaNisa Izza AzkiaAdzin Aris Aniq Adani

https://ejournal2.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/rils/article/view/154

This study theoretically investigates the renewal of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methodology oriented toward character strengthening and digital technology utilization. Using a qualitative approach grounded in library research, the study synthesizes recent literature (2015–2026) on the role of teachers, integration of Islamic values, character education frameworks, and technology-based learning within Islamic educational contexts. The findings reveal that teachers hold a strategic, multidimensional role—not merely as transmitters of knowledge, but also as spiritual guides, moral role models, and digital facilitators. The integration of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), gamification, adaptive learning systems, mobile learning, and blended learning, has been shown to enhance student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. Nevertheless, successful implementation depends heavily on the digital literacy of both teachers and students (TPACK framework), infrastructure readiness, and the synergistic support of the educational ecosystem. Technology-based Islamic education must simultaneously promote intellectual achievement and the formation of Islamic character—encompassing religiosity, honesty (amanah), responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and digital ethics (adab bermedia). This study affirms that the renewal of PAI methodology in the digital era requires strong multi-stakeholder synergy among teachers, schools, parents, communities, and government.

Moch. https://ejournal2.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/rils/article/view/169

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online and offline media use in Islamic-themed political campaigns in the 2024 Surakarta regional elections. Islamic-themed political campaigns often rely on religious symbols and values to attract voter sympathy. This study focuses on how online media, such as social media, and offline media, such as in-person meetings and the display of campaign paraphernalia, are used to convey political messages. The research method used is a mixed method with a quantitative approach through interviews with voters who pay attention to both online and offline campaigns. The results show that online media is more effective in reaching young audiences and mobilizing support quickly, while offline media remains important in building trust and personal interactions with voters. The combination of these two types of media produces a more significant impact than using either medium alone.
Dwi Indah Nur SafitriIrfan Seno AjiNur Muhammad Amin YahyaZahrah Putri Haryadi
